Houston dining institution Beaver’s will serve cannabis-infused queso this weekend in celebration of stoner holiday 4/20.
Because this is Texas, of course, the queso will only be infused with cannabidiol, the non-psychoactive compound found in marijuana that has been touted for a wide range of alleged health benefits. A representative for the restaurant tells Eater that each bowl of the CBD-infused queso will boast about 25 milligrams of cannabidiol, infused into the gloopy cheese dip via a coconut oil-based tincture.
Scope out the queso below:

The cheesy, spicy greatness of queso already has mood-boosting properties, and if its proponents are right about CBD oil’s ability to soothe anxiety, this dish has real potential to ward off even the worst of moods. The restaurant will also use CBD-only cannabis that is legal in Texas to add a smoky flavor to a classic Old Fashioned cocktail. Outside of the cannabis-infused options, Beaver’s will also have plenty of smoky, stoner-friendly snacks from chef Arash Kharat on the menu, including Fritos chili pies and pizza.
Curious cannabis and cheese enthusiasts can try the CBD oil-infused queso at Beaver’s all day on Saturday.
