A local restaurant group’s next project is the Montrose Hotel
Goodnight Hospitality, the restaurant group behind Goodnight Charlie’s and more Montrose restaurants, is switching gears for its next project. The Houston Business Journal reports that Goodnight Hospitality wants to open a nine-room boutique hotel called the Montrose Hotel at corner of Westheimer and Dunlavy. The plan is to open in late 2020, with a lounge, bar, and restaurant that will be exclusive to hotel guests.
Party at an Airstream trailer bar this weekend
The Houston Press reports that Present Company is throwing a party on Saturday to unveil its Airstream trailer bar, also known as “Party Doll” or “A Patio Bar on Wheels.” The event kicks of on April 27 at 1 p.m., with music from DJ Fredster and $7 Aperol spritzes served in inflatable flamingo floats.
Houston is now home to a $3 million wine room
The Post Oak Hotel’s new The Cellar wine room is home to 30,000 bottles, which translates to a whopping $3 million worth of wine — according to CultureMap Houston. The public will be able to experience it via “Sommelier Series” dinner events launching this spring.
