Killen’s Steakhouse’s New Location in the Woodlands Debuts Tonight

It’s the latest in the pipeline for Ronnie Killen

It’s opening night for the second location of Killen’s Steakhouse. Chef Ronnie Killen’s new outpost in The Woodlands debuts today at 1700 Research Drive, reports the Houston Business Journal. The space was once a Bob’s Steak & Chop House, but now it boasts a barbecue pit, wine cellar, wine room, and wood-burning grill. Expect similar hand-cut steaks and freshly made desserts as at the original Killen’s Steakhouse and Killen’s STQ.

The restaurant posted on Facebook: “We’re shining the glasses and setting the tables! Killen’s Steakhouse debuts in #TheWoodlands this Friday.” The new outpost is offering reservations on OpenTable and is currently open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with plans to add happy hour service and lunch service too.

That’s not all that’s in the works for Killen: the Pearland restaurateur (and James Beard Award nominee) just opened his new Tex-Mex eatery Killen’s TMX this year and he’s got plans to open a new restaurant devoted to “Southern-style comfort food” in the next few months.
