Axis & Alibi, a new boozing destination with two stories of drinking space, will arrive on Washington Avenue later this month.

The new bar from owner Carlos Palomo is set to open on April 26 at 5701 Washington Avenue, according to a press release. The first floor of the bar opened in March, and the new watering hole will be fully open once the upstairs area is ready. The bar occupies an upscale two-story space with an expansive patio, indoor bar with plenty of TVs for watching sports, and a glitzy upstairs lounge with bottle service and a “drip chandelier” that lights the stairway to the lounge. There’s also a second floor patio with street views.

In addition to bottle service, drinkers will find cocktails like the Alibi (gin, Italicus, lemons, bitters, and Champagne) and the El Sonido (mezcal, lime, agave, smoked chili bitters) alongside classic Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. Wine and local brews are also on the menu.

After it opens, both floors of Axis & Alibi will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
