When “creative arts community” Sawyer Yards makes its debut in fall 2019, diners will be able to score everything from Houston-made cider to Tennessee-style barbecue.

Days after Eater reported that New Orleans’s Urban South Brewery would open a “satellite” location at Sawyer Yards, the developers behind the project that will take over an abandoned warehouse at 1201 Oliver Street have announced that a second outpost of Houston’s own Fainmous Barbecue will debut this fall. For those unfamiliar with the Houston-born barbecue restaurant, it’s known for its Memphis-style ribs, smoked chicken, and rib tip sandwiches.

In exciting news for axe-throwing enthusiasts, Sawyer Yards will house the first Houston outpost of Urban Axes, a growing Austin chain that will take over 13,000 square feet of space in which people can throw axes, according to a press release. Also opening at Sawyer Yards alongside Fainmous Barbecue and Urban South Brewery is City Orchard, a cidery that will produce crisp sips from apples sourced from the Great Lakes region.

These new additions join Irish restaurant Poitin at Sawyer Yards, along with a forthcoming virtual golf bar called Loft18 that’s set to arrive this summer and the first permanent location of “allergy-friendly” bakery Awesome Bites Co.

Expect these new hotspots to land at Sawyer Yards sometime in Fall 2019. Stay tuned for an official opening date.
