Benjamin Berg’s restaurant empire continues to expand

Restaurateur Benjamin Berg’s two-in-one Italian-American spot B.B. Italia Kitchen & Bar and B.B. Pizza To Go opened up yesterday, May 2, serving up pasta and pizza. Berg Hospitality Group’s been busy, and is about to be busier: Berg is eying the Montrose space that was once home to Pax Americana, which closed in January.

Berg Hospitality Group had no additional comment about the project.

One of Houston’s own will compete on the Food Network

CultureMap reports that Edet Okon will compete to win the title of Food Network’s Best Baker in America, which premieres May 13 at 8 p.m.
