Los Angeles sandwich and salad chain Mendocino Farms plans to blanket Houston with outposts. The California fast casual eatery wants to make a big impression with four locations set to open in the city in the next two years.
Eater’s already reported on Mendocino Farms’ plans to debut in Rice Village this summer, then move into Uptown Park in the fall and into The Star in Downtown this winter. Now, the chain’s website indicates a location will open in the Heights in 2020 at 600 N. Shepherd in M.K.T, an upcoming mixed-use development. That’s a 12-acre site that is meant to be home to offices, shopping, eateries, and a fitness complex, per the Houston Chronicle’s reporting in 2018.
Mendocino Farms serves up fresh fare like chicken mozzarella and basil sandwiches, Impossible chorizo taco salads, and falafel wraps.
