Beloved Hong Kong chain Tim Ho Wan will soon bring its dim sum carts to the Houston area, and they’re going to land in Katy.

Earlier this month, Eater reported that the chain had Houston in its sights, and now documents filed with the Fort Bend County clerk indicate that Tim Ho Wan will open at 23330 Grand Circle Parkway Suite 180, inside the bustling Katy Grand development. Tim Ho Wan will be part of the development’s forthcoming second phase, joining much-anticipated spots like SomiSomi and HaiDiLao Hot Pot, both previously reported by Eater.

When it debuts, the carts at the Michelin-starred Tim Ho Wan will serve a bounty of dim sum classics, ranging from shrimp siu mai to barbecue pork buns to steamed rice rolls. When the chain hit New York City in 2016, it inspired one of the city’s “most maddening” lines of dim sum enthusiasts, and its newest U.S. outpost in Irvine, California was met with equal enthusiasm. Suffice it to say: when Tim Ho Wan hits Katy, expect lengthy lines.

Stay tuned for more details on when diners can expect Tim Ho Wan to open its first Texas outpost.
