B.B. Lemon sets an opening date in Montrose
About two months after announcing that B.B. Lemon would open its doors in the former Pax Americana space at 4319 Montrose Boulevard, Berg Hospitality has set an opening date for the restaurant’s second outpost. It’s set to debut on Monday, July 8, bringing dishes like bacon Parmesan and falafel to the neighborhood.
Dolce Vita’s days are numbered
After nearly 13 years in business, Montrose Italian eatery Dolce Vita will soon bow out. According to the Houston Chronicle, owner Marco Wiles is currently selling the building that houses the restaurant, but says that he’s “not in any hurry” to close Dolce Vita. Stay tuned for more details on when Dolce Vita will serve its final pizzas and pastas.
I’ll Have What She’s Having raises $10k for reproductive health
Last weekend, charitable Houston culinary organization I’ll Have What She’s Having raised $10,000 for its Liz Fenton Purse Snacks fund at the second-annual Daddy of all Pop-Ups event. The fund, named for late food writer Liz Fenton, helps women in the culinary industry access reproductive healthcare.
