Dining development Bellaire Food Street celebrated two grand openings over the weekend: welcome Japanese cream puff chain Beard Papa’s to the neighborhood, along with Fat Ni BBQ, which is all about skewered meats. Find the new outposts at 9393 Bellaire Boulevard.

This is the latest Beard Papa’s location in Houston: the first debuted in 2018 in the Katy Asian Town development. The chain is known for airy desserts in flavors like creme brûlée and green tea.

On the savory side, Fat Ni BBQ serves Xinjiang-style skewers with offerings like lamb tendon, pork belly, squid, fish balls, and options for vegetarians too. The restaurant also serves spicy chicken noodles, beef noodle soup, and more non-skewer dishes.

Meanwhile, Bellaire Food Street announced last month that chicken hot pot and Korean fried chicken will be among its offerings.
