A new project is on the way

Fans of long-running upscale Indian restaurant Indika in Montrose have just a few weeks to get there for one last bite. The restaurant’s social media page announced yesterday that Indika will shutter on Sunday, June 30, after 18 years in business. The restaurant, known for its delicate cashew sauce and coconut pancakes, celebrated the cooking of chef Anita Jaisinghani for much of that time. She cut ties with Indika in 2017 to focus on Pondicheri.

Here’s Indika’s closing message in full, and it sounds like the owners have a new projects in the work for Montrose:

It is with full and grateful hearts that we announce our beloved restaurant, Indika, will permanently be shutting its doors Sunday, June 30th. Indika has appreciated your continued support over the past 18 years. We welcome you, our friends and family, to come in this month for a last bite. It’s been a pleasure serving you all and we look forward to sharing our next project with the ever evolving Montrose restaurant scene.
