Komchop Restaurant, a local destination for African cuisine, has recently opened a second location near George Bush Park.

The new outpost opened earlier this month in a strip mall at 14144 Westheimer Road, serving “delicious meals in a simple but classy environment,” according to the eatery’s Facebook page. The new outpost joins the original Komchop on Bellfort Boulevard and comes about five months after the first location opened its doors in February. Since then, the restaurant has racked up dozens of solid reviews on platforms like Yelp and Google.

An extensive menu of delicacies can be found in the new outpost of the self-described “finest African restaurant in Houston,” including dishes like yams & egg sauce, jollof rice served with proteins like goat or steamed fish, and several soup options including okro, egusi, pepper, and fish banga varieties. Moi-moi, bole and fish, and spaghetti jollof round out the offerings.

Eater has reached out to Komchop for its full hours of operation. Stay tuned for more details.
