Mutiny Wine Room, a new drinking destination with strong Napa ties, will debut in the Heights this fall.

As Eater reported back in March, the wine bar is set to open its doors at 1124 Usener Street in the Heights, and now we’ve got more details on what the menu will look like and when it will arrive. Owned by native Houstonian Emily Trout and her husband Mark Ellenberger, who operate Napa winery Kagan Cellars, the bar will focus on bottles from boutique and small wineries that produce between “500 to 5000” cases of each wine per year.

To create Mutiny Wine Room’s “vineyard barn” vibe, the duo tapped Mark Atkins at MASA Studio Architects to bring a touch of the Napa Valley to the Heights. Expect exposed beams and reclaimed wood fixtures inside the space, along with a large open-air patio for sipping glasses of wine. In addition to serving wine by the bottle and glass, Mutiny Wine Room will also retail wine for take-home consumption and serve a menu of wine-friendly dishes.

Mutiny Wine Room is expected to open this fall. Stay tuned for an official opening date.
