More than a year and a half after shuttering his beloved seafood restaurant Holley’s, chef Mark Holley is plotting a triumphant comeback.

Holley has been tapped to lead the kitchen at Davis St at Hermann Park, the popular restaurant that shuttered in 2017. It’s set to reopen sometime this fall, per a press release, and this time, the kitchen will feature classics from both Davis St’s menu and Holley’s most recognizable dishes. The space will get a revamp, though the famed Davis St chandeliers will stick around.

Diners can look forward to the return of bananas Foster pancakes and crispy Thai shrimp from the Davis St menu, while Holley will continue serving the seafood-focused Creole dishes that made his previous restaurant a Houston staple. He’ll also bring back his regular “Sunday Suppers,” and brunch will be a focus.

Davis St at Hermann Park is currently expected to reopen sometime this fall. Stay tuned for an official opening date.
