Fat Cat Creamery, a beloved cat-themed ice cream shop in the Heights, will soon open a second location in Garden Oaks.
The creamery is only the second food and beverage purveyor slated for the forthcoming Stomping Grounds development at 1225 West 34th Street, the development confirmed on its Facebook page, joining wine bar Camerata and other as-yet-unnamed eateries.
In the Heights, Fat Cat Creamery has become known for five signature ice cream flavors like Mexican vanilla, Amaya coffee, chocolate infused with stout beer, a strawberry and buttermilk blend spiked with gin, and dairy-free chai tea coconut. Seasonal flavors are also on deck, and all the creamy goods can be topped with a wide array of “meow mixes” like salted almond brittle, marshmallow sauce, and graham cracker crumbles. The frozen treats destination also offers sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, floats, milkshakes, soft serve, push pops, and more desserts.
No word yet on when Fat Cat Creamery is expected to debut in Garden Oaks, as the Stomping Grounds development is in the full throes of construction. Stay tuned for updates as they unfold.
