The Halal Guys will open yet another Houston outpost

NYC-based chicken and rice chain The Halal Guys has plans for a fourth Houston location. According to the Houston Chronicle, the newest local outpost of The Halal Guys is headed to 3008 Ella Boulevard in Garden Oaks, and construction on the space is set to begin soon. The restaurant will also boast dedicated parking to online pick-up orders easier and faster.

Former Grand Prize bartenders plot new Midtown watering hole

Two Headed Dog, a new cocktail bar helmed by former Grand Prize bartenders Lindsay Rae and Billy Boyd, will make its debut this summer in Midtown. According to CultureMap, the bar is set to open at 3100 Fannin Street by the end of July. Look forward to frozen, bottled, shaken, and stirred cocktails in an intimate, dive-y space.

LA soft serve shop opens in Houston

Born in Los Angeles’s Little Tokyo neighborhood, Bae Ice Cream has officially made its debut in Houston’s Asiatown. The shop opened its doors at 9798 Bellaire Boulevard, Suite A, over the weekend, and is now slinging charcoal-spiked, cereal-topped, and more Instagram-worthy soft serve cones, along with pastries like ube doughnuts and coffee drinks.
