Get ready for Common Bond croissants in Downtown

Signage is up for the next outpost of Common Bond. A photo uploaded by a hawk-eyed user of Houston real estate forum HAIF confirms speculation that Common Bond has plans to open a new location in Downtown’s new underground food hall Understory. Expect the new location to arrive sometime in 2020.

A new patio bar is in en route to Rice Military

In the coming months, Memorial Trail Ice House will bring a sprawling patio and plenty of cocktails to the Juergen building at 6202 Washington Avenue. Per CultureMap, the new bar is currently expected to open its doors in February 2020, complete with an indoor-outdoor space with plenty of seating and bar games, frozen cocktails, and plenty of beer.

Dog Haus snaps up yet another Houston location

After announcing plans for its first Houston location, California chain Dog Haus has already set its sights on a second outpost. According to Community Impact, the chain purchased property in Copperfield at 8422 Highway 6 North, taking over a space formerly occupied by El Rey Taqueria. This location would join the Dog Haus that’s set to open on Enclave Parkway in the coming months. A third area outpost is in the very earliest stages of development — land records indicate that it will open at 2209 Spring Stuebner Road in Spring.
