Taiwanese-born boba brand Ding Tea plans to open its second Houston location this fall.
The 15-year-old international chain boasts more than 350 locations in Asia alone, along with domestic shops sprinkled across Southern California and Las Vegas. Its inaugural Houston location debuted this spring in Chinatown. The latest area site is scheduled to open by early or mid-October at 23227 Mercantile Parkway, Suite A3 in Katy, according to a rep.
Its expansive lineup of shakeable milk teas features flavors like matcha, oolong, winter melon, or taro. Along with its best-selling “Monster” brown sugar boba drink, tea options also include red guava, lychee, and strawberry yogurt. Its Houston location now lets patrons print chosen emojis, pictures, and poems on the lid.
Houston’s growing Asian tea segment also includes 7 Leaves Cafe and GiAu Bar & Bites.
