Sweet Flamingo, a new shop serving a litany of over-the-top treats, has officially opened its doors in Katy.

The shop arrived in the LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch development at 23501 Cinco Ranch Boulevard in Katy over the weekend, directly across from Torchy’s Tacos, serving everything from seriously decadent cakes like the “Strawberry Wonderland” cupcake, topped with frosting, sprinkles, macarons, madeleines, and more. There will also be drinks garnished with tons of candy and a cloud of dry ice and milkshakes crowned with marshmallows and cotton candy or garnished with tiny jars of Nutella.

Most strikingly, though, are the shop’s chicken wings. Instead of the typical Buffalo sauce, here the wings are slathered in a sauce that’s spiked with actual 24-karat gold. These wings were made famous by Kardashian pal and influencer Jonathan “Foodgod” Cheban in New York City in 2018, but the Foodgod charged upwards of $1,000 per plate for his chicken wings. At Sweet Flamingo, an order of five wings is priced at around $13, per one Instagram commenter.
