Toukei, the much-anticipated izakaya from restaurant empire-builder Mike Tran, will open its doors in Asiatown next week.

A representative for the restaurant tells Eater that Toukei is set to debut at 9630 Clarewood Drive on Tuesday, October 1, almost two years after Tran first hinted that this spot was in the works. It’ll open right next door to his popular noodle restaurant Ishin Udon, and just two doors down from Tran’s Ohn Korean Eatery.

Over the past couple of months, Tran has been teasing dishes that will appear on Toukei’s menu via Instagram. The menus aren’t finalized just yet, but expect Japanese bar snacks like spicy white pepper chicken wings, crunchy Spam katsu, bowls of fiery ramen, and plenty of wood-grilled meats and veggies on skewers. At the bar, expect a solid selection of sake and shochu, along with private lockers that will house bottles of Japanese whiskey.

When Toukei arrives, it will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
