Instagram sensation and wildly popular boba tea shop Tiger Sugar is officially ready to make its Houston debut.

A post to the chain’s Instagram account indicates that it will kick open the doors at 9393 Bellaire Boulevard, inside the Bellaire Food Street development, on Saturday, November 7. Hailing from Taiwan, Tiger Sugar was founded in 2017 and has since developed a cult-following of fans who are obsessed with the chain’s sweet brown sugar boba. More than 40 locations of the chain have opened across the globe in the past three years, including a second Texas outpost that’s in the Dallas suburbs.

The menu at Tiger Sugar is pretty in line with most boba shops, with plenty of milk teas. The real draw, though, is the shop’s signature drink, a rich milk tea that’s made with organic milk and sweetened with “tiger stripes” of deeply caramelized brown sugar down the sides of the cup. A crown of cream mousse goes on top, while the bottom of the cup is loaded down with two different sizes of boba, one larger, one small.

When Tiger Sugar arrives on November 7, don’t be surprised if there are (socially-distanced) lines.
