Downtown’s Underground Food Hall Adds Burgers and Brisket Egg Rolls to the Line-Up

Underground Hall will take over the space formerly known as Conservatory with five new restaurants and two bars

After announcing plans for a major revamp, the Downtown food hall formerly known as Conservatory will add burgers, tacos, and more eats to the line-up at Underground Hall.

As previously reported, Underground Hall will be home to five distinct restaurants and two bars when it makes its debut later this year. When new owner Daut Elshani announced the project, he announced that Heights pizza spot Crisp would take up residency in the space at 1010 Prairie Street, and now he’s posted more details about the four eateries that will occupy the rest of the food hall via Instagram.

Scope out early intel on each spot below:

  • Don Juan Taco & Ceviche Bar — A self-explanatory spot slinging (you guessed it!) tacos and ceviche.
  • Wokker — A permanent outpost of the popular Tex-Asian food truck known for dishes like brisket egg rolls, smoked chicken lo mein, and pork belly fried rice.
  • Treacherous Leches — A former Conservatory vendor, this purveyor of decadent tres leches cakes will stick around in the revamp.
  • Hotline Burger — A new burger spot; details beyond that are scarce.

In addition to the food stalls, Underground Hall will also house a bar called Beer Market that will pour local brews from 30 different taps. Underbar, the spot’s other drinking destination, will serve wine and cocktails.

Stay tuned for Underground Hall’s official opening date.
