Heads up, Eater readers: Vox Media is proud to announce that Brittanie Shey is the brand new associate editor at Eater Houston.

Formerly a freelance journalist, Shey is based in Houston and an alum of the Houston Press. A prolific writer on arts and culture, Shey’s work has appeared in publications like Houstonia, Rolling Stone, and Curbed. She’s also taught paddleboard yoga in Amsterdam, spent three years living on a rural Korean island before returning to Houston, and is a serious kimchi enthusiast.

Shey will assist in Eater Houston and Eater Dallas’s comprehensive coverage of the cities’ dining during these unprecedented times. As always, please reach out to Brittanie with story tips via email, and follow her on Twitter at @brittanieshey.

We’re thrilled that Brittanie has joined the Eater team, and can’t wait to see the stories she’ll break.
