Jollibee, the cult-favorite Filipino fried chicken chain, will officially make its debut in Missouri City tomorrow.
The chain announced in a Facebook post that it will start slinging its beloved “Chickenjoy” at 6127 Highway 6 in Missouri City on June 10. This is the second Jollibee outpost in the Houston area, joining a longstanding outpost on South Main Street. As previously reported by Eater, a third location is expected to arrive on Westheimer Road in the coming months. Originally, it was expected to arrive in April 2020, but no new timeline has been announced for its debut.
For those who are unfamiliar with Jollibee, the chain is known for its ridiculously crispy fried chicken that’s served with adobo rice, mashed potatoes, corn, and gravy. The “jolly spaghetti,” topped with shredded cheese and a sweet sauce, is also a favorite, as are classic Filipino dishes like palabok fiesta and hamburger steak. Chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers are also on the menu, along with sweets like halo-halo and deep-fried peach-mango pies.
For now, the Missouri City outpost of Jollibee will only serve diners via pick-up orders and its drive-thru. Call the restaurant at 346-295-9060 to place orders.
