Texas winery Messina Hof has debuted its latest outpost in Richmond, bringing a massive new tasting room and restaurant to the Harvest Green development.
Located at 8921 Harlem Road in Richmond, the brand-new wine destination boasts a sprawling 83-foot-long wine bar in a tasting room equipped with two dozen wine taps, two private tasting rooms, a substantial (and covered) outdoor patio, and of course, space for producing and storing wines, according to a press release. When Messina Hof announced the project back in 2019, it boasted that the Harvest Green outpost would be the Houston area’s largest winery.
In addition to the wines, diners can also expect a menu of dishes that infuse Messina Hof wines into dishes like pork chops served with fig agrodolce, Syrah-poached pear salad, and Texas Gulf shrimp served in tomato, fennel, and sauvignon blanc broth. A selection of wood-fired pizzas prepared in an Italian-made Mugnaini pizza oven will also be on offer.
Now open, Messina Hof Harvest Green Winery and Kitchen is in a “soft opening” phase and will operate Monday and Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
