A new family-friendly entertainment complex featuring golf courses designed by Tiger Woods is set to debut in summer 2022 in Katy.

PopStroke, in the Katy Grand development just inside Grand Parkway at Interstate 10, will include an 8,000 square-foot restaurant, a bar with cocktails and beer, and an ice cream parlor.

Menu-wise, PopStroke’s two existing locations in Florida, in Port St. Lucie and Fort Myers, offer dishes like Italian sausage meatball skillets; white pizza with garlic, ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese; and pork and veggie-stuffed potstickers. Drinks include the Water Hazard, made with Tito’s, blue Curacao, and pineapple juice, as well as the Weather Delay, a take on the classic Hurricane with Bacardi rum, tropical fruit juices, and a float of dark rum.

At the ice cream parlor, diners can find a bevy of flavors such as bubble gum, coffee, and watermelon sherbet, as well decadent milkshakes, like the s’mores, made with Golden Grahams-infused vanilla ice cream and served in a marshmallow iced jar topped with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, mini marshmallows, and Golden Grahams.

Perhaps most impressive features are PopStroke’s two 18-hole golf courses, designed by Tiger Woods’s TGR Design team, with holes that offer challenges for both experienced golfers and newbies alike. The sprawling 3.2-acre complex also features kid-friendly entertainment, including outdoor games and a playground.

The Katy Grand development is quickly becoming an entertainment epicenter with a 19-screen Cinemark Theatre and Andretti Indoor Karting & Games nearby, plus Top Golf just a few miles away off I-10. Plus HaiDiLao, the much-anticipated Sichuan hot pot chain, opened there earlier this week after early three years in the works.

Katy’s PopStroke will be the first in Texas, with several more locations planned for Florida, as well as Glendale and Scottsdale, Arizona. No word yet on future locations for the Lone Star State.
