FM Kitchen’s Montrose location will open next week

The second location of FM Kitchen, the popular Washington corridor comfort food restaurant, will open Wednesday, June 23 at 907 Westheimer Road. The restaurant, known for its burgers, chicken fried steak, and creative cocktail menu, will expand its hours and late-night food offerings with the opening of the Montrose spot. Both locations will now be open until 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights.

Like the original location, the Montrose FM Kitchen will offer an extensive menu of cocktails, including watermelon mules, ranch waters, and more than 20 beers on tap. In addition, FM Kitchen will be adding some menu items exclusive to the Montrose location.

All-day breakfast cafe now open at M-K-T Heights

A new restaurant serving $56 “breakfast boards”, lunch, and more is now open in The Heights. Homestead Breakfast, Lunch & Later opened June 4 at M-K-T Heights, the massive new shopping and dining destination at 600 North Shepherd Drive. The restaurant focuses on the first meal of the day, with flavors that echo Houston’s vast culinary melting pot, including Cajun crab Benedict, a breakfast hurache with chorizo and queso fresca, and chicken and waffles with Homestead’s signature buttermilk syrup. The breakfast board, which includes a selection of biscuits, sausage, bacon, pancakes and eggs, plus four mimosas, feeds four people for $56, according to Culturemap.

The breakfast menu will be available all day, and the restaurant will also offer lunch and dinner dishes like burgers, fajitas, and Cajun dishes like blackened redfish. For now, Homestead is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
