Two brand new night clubs will soon open their doors in Houston, with the intent of putting the city’s party scene on the map.
The two new ventures are a project of the newly formed Sekai Hospitality, according to a press release. The first is a forthcoming Washington Corridor nightclub called Wyld Chld, which will take over the space formerly occupied by Benjy’s at 5922 Washington Avenue. The oddly-named club is set to be a luxe destination for partiers, complete with a 1,000 square foot rooftop terrace and outdoor patio, plus live music and other entertainment options.
“Houston has gained international awareness for its food, cultural offerings and parks says Sekai Hospitality partner Sal Wise. “We want to create that same excitement and destination appeal for its daylife and nightlife offerings.”
Shortly after Wyld Chld opens its doors, then the group plans to open Sekai Day and Night in EaDo. The club will open in a 26,000 square foot warehouse at 1505 Saint Emanuel Street that’s in the process of being completely remodeled to include a 36-foot-long bar and an outdoor, resort-style pool complete with cabanas, couches, and day beds. As its name would indicate, the club expects to be a partying destination during the day and at night.
No opening date has been announced for Wyld Child or Sekai Day and Night, but both are expected to arrive this fall. On August 16, the company will host a hiring fair to start staffing up both establishments.
