A bougie new dog cafe and pet boutique is set to land in Katy later this fall.
Called Pucci — presumably a reference to the glamorous Italian design house that also doubles as a dog pun — the cafe will open its doors at 23501 Cinco Ranch Boulevard, inside the LaCenterra development, later this year.
The dog-friendly spot is inspired by the many cafes in Europe where dogs are not only allowed, but welcomed. While Houston boasts many dog-friendly patios, Pucci will be one of the first to specifically cater to canines with a luxe, high-end feel. The space at Pucci is being designed by gin design group, known for their work at many restaurants in the Houston area. In addition to a patio that faces LaCenterra Lake, the cafe will also have a fenced-in dog park area. Renderings show nods to classic English cafes with checkerboard tilework and padded banquettes.
“We wanted a space that was open late that felt luxurious and high-end where you can enjoy time with your dog,” owner Bobby Davidson said in a statement. “After working a long day, sometimes our dogs end up being an afterthought, and we want to change that.”
At the cafe, the menu will consist of artisanal third-wave coffees, specialty teas, wine, beer, pastries, charcuterie boards, and other small bites, and will also feature an upscale dog bakery. The cafe will also host live music and wine and espresso tastings in partnership with local animal rescue organizations.

Davidson and his partner Maria actually launched the boutique aspect of the cafe online last year, selling designer canine clothing like dresses, sweaters, raincoats and more, plus leashes, harnesses, and crystal-studded collars, as well as non-GMO dog treats, spa products and more.
When it debuts later this year, Pucci Cafe will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Stay tuned to Eater for a more precise opening date.
