The restaurant group behind Houston favorite Dish Society has announced plans for a new casual-yet-chic restaurant planned for CityCentre.
Called Daily Gather, the restaurant is a project of Five 12 Restaurant Concepts, which operates six outposts of popular eatery Dish Society in Houston. According to a press release, this new restaurant is set to arrive at 800 Sorella Court, Suite 940, in the coming months, with a menu designed by beloved Houston chef Brandi Key. The restaurant will occupy a 6,000 square foot space, with space inside for 150 diners. An outdoor patio will add an additional 100 seats, complete with “lounge-worthy vignettes.”
As far as the food is concerned, diners can look forward to fresh salads made with locally sourced produce, burgers and steaks from Texas farmers, plus Gulf seafood and shareable snacks like dips and deviled eggs. Flatbreads and pastas will also be on offer, along with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. The drink menu will include fresh-pressed juices, coffee from Houston’s favorite roaster Greenway, and a full cocktail menu.
Currently, Daily Gather is in the process of staffing up for its impending opening, and is hiring all positions. In a statement, Five 12 partner Aaron Lyons described staffing difficulties as the restaurant’s “biggest obstacle” ahead of its debut, while touting the company’s “best-in-class” health insurance, paid time off, and other benefits. The restaurant is also presently offering bonuses for new employees.
Daily Gather has not yet announced an official opening date, but expect it to arrive sometime early this fall. Stay tuned to this space for more details.
