Cove, one of Houston's newest spots for oyster lovers
| -EHTX-

Texas is one of the few places in the world that still has public oyster reefs, which makes oyster season, which began November 1, something to be treasured. Whether they're served with the traditional cocktail sauce and horseradish or something a little more adventurous, sitting down to a couple dozen fat, Texas oysters is highly pleasant dining experience. Don't worry, there's a few places serving Pacific oysters on this map, too. What they lack in size, they make up for with intense flavor.

Grand Prize Bar isn't on this map, but owner Ryan Rouse is a known oyster lover. Expect the bar to replicate the occasional oyster feasts seen at his other establishment, Big Star Bar.
