Houstonians love a patio, and that includes the city’s four-legged denizens. Ever since the city passed the Paws on Patios ordinance in 2011, many local restaurants have created specifically canine-friendly patios for pups to join their humans for dinner.

Of course, nearly any bar or brewery with an outdoor space in Houston is likely to welcome dogs, but businesses that serve food must meet specific guidelines laid out by the city in order to be considered dog-friendly. As such, this map isn’t exhaustive. Instead, its a collection of places that have gone above and beyond to welcome Fido and his fellow four-legged friends.
