What would cocktail week be without a drink from one of the city's finest? The cocktail bar by which other bars in Houston are judged by, has been a Houston fixture since 2009. Owner Bobby Heugel is credited with leading the charge in bringing cocktails back to the forefront in Houston. His influence stretches across the city where former Anvil alums are carving their own paths at Moving Sidewalk, Captain Foxheart's Bad News Bar & Spirit Lodge, Bar Boheme and others.

Stop by this week for a Spruce & Soil. The exclusive drink created for Eater includes: Beefeater gin, Dolin Genepy des des Alpes and Tio Pepe Fino Sherry.

The Drink: Vallet Daiquiri; $12

On any given day, the Downtown mezcaleria bar carries an impressive selections of mezcals and tequilas not found elsewhere in the world. During Eater's Cocktail Week, readers can order the limited-time cocktail, Vallet Daiquiri. Crafted with Tapatio reposado, Fernet-Vallet, lime and turbinado sugar, the cocktail makes the perfect way to end the workday. As you linger over drinks, get in a free round of pool before 6:30 p.m.

Moving Sidewalk

The Drink: Little Reed Horses; $12

Moving Sidewalk is a revision of recently shuttered Goro & Gun, whose name was inspired by ZZ Top member and Houston native, Billy Gibbons' prior band. Bar's owners, Ryan Rouse, Brad Moore and Alex Gregg have turned the Main Street bar into a sophisticated place, serving cocktails of the same standard. Pull up to bar and order the Little Reed Horses - a delicious blend of Pisco, Pedro Ximenez (a sweet Spanish wine), cucumber, yogurt, lime, celery seed and bitter lemon soda.

The Drink: The Delhi Sour; $10

What started out as a wine bar and coffee house in Montrose, has quickly morphed into a go-to for cocktails. It's all thanks to recently named beverage director Hal Brock (formerly of Hearsay Gastro Lounge and Anvil Bar & Refuge). Brock has added nineteen cocktails to the menu and recommends The Delhi Sour for readers of Eater. The cocktail is made with Old Overholt rye whiskey, tamarind syrup, lemon juice and clove tincture.

The Drink: Balinese Room #2; $12

Waiting for Tiki night is a thing of the past with daily island inspired drinks at eight-month old Lei Low. The Heights tiki bar from Down House's Elizabeth and Russell Thoede are offering readers an escape from the hustle and bustle with one of its best-sellers: Balinese Room #2, crafted with yellow chartreuse, Dimmi Liquore de Milano, fresh squeezed lime juice, and peychaud bitters.

Laurie Sheddan Harvey and Leslie Ross are the Ladies of Libation -a bar consulting and private catering service- and both can be found on any given day mixing the most exquisite cocktails at Triniti.

While Harvey and Ross ready for the opening of Sanctuari in November - a bar within Triniti - get a sneak peek of what's to come with their smokey riff on a margarita. Crafted with mezcal, tequila, Dolin Genepy, roasted lemon juice and black pepper, the duo are taking $2 off the cocktail's original price ($12) for readers.

Opened for less than year and recently nominated as one of Bon Appétit's 50 Best New Restaurants of 2014, this Heights eatery serves more than rustic Italian fare from chef Ryan Pera. Morgan Weber has fashioned a clever cocktail menu emphasizing Italian aperitivos and liqueurs, but its rum drinks are scene-stealers too. Imbibe on the garden patio or at the bar with The Paul Whitten - a cocktail made with Rhum Barbincourt Five Star and Hamilton Jamaican Pot Still Black Rum, barrel aged maple syrup, lemon juice, Abbot's bitters and garnished with two Luxardo cherries.
